Subject: Menace of vendors outside schools
Dear Sir,
I am a student of Kalam Vidyalaya. I would like to bring to your attention the menace that vendors pose to the students of our school. They sell all sorts of unhealthy eatables and drinks right outside the school compound.
I believe the police authorities are fully aware of this. And yet the nuisance goes on unabated. All these eatables are prepared and sold by keeping them open , under the most unhygienic conditions and contain poisonous and harmful colours and other substances. The foodstuff is exposed to flies and other insects. It poses a grave threat to the health of unsuspecting school children. Our school lanes are mostly blocked beacuse of same.
May I request you most earnestly to take all possible measures immediately to put a stop to this crime against children and to see to it that all vendors are prohibited from selling their wares in the vicinity of our school?
Yours faithfully,
XYZ

Subject: Problems of hawkers
Dear Sir:
I am writing to your good self to express my concern over the problems caused by hawkers. The roads near
the markets have become so narrow that long traffic jams are everyday affair now. There is no space even for pedestrians in the market places. All footpaths have been illegally occupied by vendors. Students face lots of troubles while commuting to school. Apart from that, this encroachment causes traffic jams also. These long traffic jams cause so much of loss to the nation. Millions of working hours are wasted every day because of these traffic jams. Fuel worth millions of rupees gets wasted by vehicles stuck up in these jams. People’s health is also under attack from the pollution caused by these vehicles. The irritation caused by these jams also leads to many aggressive confrontations among the commuters. Students also incur heavy loss of studies as these jams don’t let them reach to their schools and colleges in time. These hawkers usually sell unhygienic and low quality food stuffs posing danger to the health of the students. I appeal to your good self to look into the matter. There should be strict action against those who encroach on roads. These vendors should be assigned particular spaces. The food samples should be collected and verified. Only those who sell quality food stuff should be given licenses.I hope you will respond to my requests.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Vikram
