A formal letter is written to an important figure to make a request. Let’s write a letter on the given topic:

Janta Apts,

Swarkar Nagar,

Thane 400601.

5th September 2021.

The Deputy Chief Commissioner,

Thane Police Station,

Thane 400601.

Subject - Implications of the traffic in a school zone.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a teacher who teaches in the school near the new road construction, Modern School. The new road, although a very good idea, has been very disruptive for the entire school. I wanted to write to you about the traffic situation in the area.

This has been a point of contention for me ever since the construction started. There has been bumper to bumper traffic every single day outside the school. This causes immense noise and sometimes, there are arguments right outside the school. There is no way for school buses to get inside the premises sometimes and there is a huge chance of accidents taking place. It is unfortunate that even though a school zone is a no honking zone, there are still car horns every minute. Due to this, teachers are not able to teach easily and the students are prone to get distracted and get headaches because of the constant noise they are being subjected to. It would be helpful and would remedy the situation a lot if you were to place some kind of fine on honking in a school zone. It would also help if some traffic police were employed on the street and they redirected the traffic elsewhere instead of it being right outside the school.

I am sure your efficient office will do the needful.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

ABC.
