Answer:

Sir,

This is to inform you that my bicycle was stolen at 11 am. yesterday at Karimpur bus stop. Keeping the bicycle against the banyan tree near the ATM counter of UBI, I entered the counter for withdrawal of money. Within two minutes I returned and found my cycle missing. I searched every nook and corner, but all my efforts were futile. I asked all the people around the ATM counter. But none could help me. So, as the last resort I now seek your help.

Only a week ago, I bought the ‘Hero Jet’ cycle of black colour. It bears the number H12905. I can produce the cash memo which testifies my ownership. This is the only means of transportation for my domestic works.

Now, I earnestly request you to look into the matter so that I can get back my lost bicycle.

It should be an official letter. You may write…. To,

The superintendent of Police

Burdwan Police Station.

Barabazar, Burdwan.

Subject-A complaint against a lost bi- cycle.

Sir,

With utmost respect and honour, I beg to inform you that yesterday I went to a book shop at Barabazar near the police station to buy some books. I placed my bi-cycle just outside the book shop. On my return I was surprised to see that the bi-cycle was not there though it was locked properly. I searched every nook and corner but I was in vain. It was a ‘Hero' bi-cycle and the Number is - H05343145789L. I shall be highly obliged and thankful if you kindly take steps to find out my bi-cycle before it is sold to anyone.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully.
