Dear Sir,

Subject: Problem of water scarcity and measures for water conservation

On behalf of the residents of Mansarol play, I would like to draw your attention to the pressing problem of water scarcity in our society. The water supply is not enough to carter to the needs of the residents. Despite this situation, many people are not concerned about water being wasted in house hold chores, washing of cars, etc.

In this backdrop, I have few suggestions to address the above mentioned issue. A seminar Cumberland workshop could be organised to discuss the issue with the residents. Water conservation experts may be invited to make us aware about various methods and technologies available to conserve water. Moreover, the residents should be sensitised to conserve water while bathing, cooking, washing clothes, utensils, etc. Alternatively, a door to door campaign can be organised to spread awareness among the residents about the need for conserving water.

I request you to kindly take immediate steps to address the issue of water scarcity and conservation measures and motivate the residents to solve the problem collectively.

Subject :- Problems caused due to the scarcity of water and some steps which could help to conserve water.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am resident of Ajmera Aria, Koregaon Park. Ajmera Aria is facing Water Scarcity problems since years. The community members responsible for the society betterment are not at all concerned for the society.

I suggested some of my ideas to the community about conserving water but they ignored it.

So, I am writing this letter to express my ideas and suggestions to conserve water.

➣ The society Buildings are designed to adopt Rain Water Harvesting. The system is fitted in the buildings 2 years ago but haven't functioned as the society is seeking permission from higher authorities to start the functioning.

➣ There are 7 buildings in the society, each containing 15 flats. I suggest to fix a ‘Flowmeter for water’ in each flat to measure the use of water in each flat.

The bill would be paid according to the usage of water. If the flats waste water, automatically their bill will rise, being worried for their money, residents will save water.

➣ There should be regular checking of the taps for leakage as leakages are one of the major reasons of water wastage.

These were some of the big projects to save water. But water could be actually saved when each and every resident cooperate to do so. Simple things can be started at homes to save water like using mop instead of washing balconies, using sponge to clean vehicles than using water pipes etc.

➣ Even the Maid's Association Head of Ajmera Aria should be informed that tell the maids to not to waste water while cleaning utensils or washing clothes.

I request you to please exhibit my ideas to the Ajmera Aria Society community so that it does not face any severe water problems.
