Mostly respectfully I beg to state that I have been suffering from Typhoid for the last three weeks. I am better now but I am still too weak to work. The doctor has advised me complete rest for two weeks. I, therefore, cannot take the test starting on Monday. I am a good student and I have done very well in my previous tests. I had won the Certificate for hundred per cent attendance last year. I had also stood first in my previous class. I have been regularly taking all my weekly class tests and showing good results. It is only a stroke of bad luck that is forcing me not to take this house test. I am sure you will appreciate my position and be kind enough to help me out this time. Kindly grant me exemption from this test and oblige. I assure you that I shall do my best in the final examination.
