The Principal
GEMS Int'l School

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a student of class 11th in your school and am an active member of the social welfare and awareness club in the school.

As you know, every week a special meeting is organised by the club to work on planning, implementing and improving the club's activities. Thus, we figured out in the last meeting that our morning school assembly lacks a very important element i.e. the daily news. In today's changing world, staying updated with day to day news is a must. This can be successfully done by reporting news everyday in the assembly. Thus, newspapers are the best sources of quality news in all fields and are also affordable. Thus, as a member of the social welfare and awareness club, I would like to request you on behalf of the student council to grant permission to read out the news from newspapers in the assembly every morning hereby.

I hope you can agree with us on this suggestion and approve it for implementation as soon as possible.

Thanking you in anticipation

Yours sincerely,
XYZ
