A letter to the Principal requesting him to excuse you from paying the library fine

From

Rohan,

Class 7 A,

ABC School.

Delhi.

To

The Principal,

ABC School,

Delhi.

Sir,

Subject: Excuse for not paying the library fine.

This is to inform you that I, a student of class 7 A, have been charged with a hundred rupees as the library fine. I was asked to return the book “The Treasure Island” that I had borrowed from the library within a week. I went to give it back on the due date but our librarian was absent. After that our school closed for the summer vacations, and I had nothing to do but keep the book with me and as I went to return it as soon as the school reopened I was charged with a fine of hundred rupees.

I would be highly obliged if you excuse me from paying the library fine as I was not really at a fault in this matter.

                                          Thanking you!!

                                                                                  -Yours faithfully,

                                                                                     Rohan.
