Dear Uncle Ron,
Your constant cravings for history and mine for movies compelled me to write to you bout something you surely gonna love. I know you prolly would already have done what I'm gonna tell you bout, but still, I'ma tell it.
My first semester got over recently, having taken the exam, I went for movie with my classmate, and then you know - there was this very one movie that intrigued me! After all I have yo blood in my vein, the one of a history frea.k running down by body, yeah you prolly guessed it right - bout historical event, the second world war. Don't mistaken the shi.t for my fanguyin issues tho, I'm being on the safer side having mentioned this before hand XD.
So, the movie I'm talkin' about is Dunkirk, tho the plot is fictional, it's worth an attention!
You know what good time we've had in yo couch lying for uncountable hours, hooking on some of yo favs movies collection, I'ma say tho this movie isn't as great as Schindler's list or even Lincoln, that we watched together last month, it's worth buying a ticket for (or at least worth sharing your Netflix password with me!!!)
Forget Harry man, he doesn't even have the lead. The plot is interesting, the struggles of a soldier, how prejudiced we were against the non-believers, specially Jews during the war era. It highlights how much biased our thoughts got against a German, who by his will or not, had to work under Fuhrer. The movie is set around 1940s, the beginning of the war between Axis and Allies with Churchill as the Prime Minister.
The Nolan's movie highlights how much secluded soldiers actually were from their nation's tactics, and the miseries of the real sufferers, the soldier - who lose their friend, family, identity and faith, yet keep up their collaboration to rescue each other, lest the same should take their own life. It also takes us deep into the psychological conditions in a soldiers head. Each and every character stand on the same ground to me, every one had struggles, a lot more than the commanders, except for the rose tinted Alex, every one undergoes some losses, every one fights and the real one survives, Tommy's character is a bit different, for he's an axis serviceman.
This gets more blissful once you join these struggles over the sea with the life's battlefield, with the sole aim of your survival, ain't experienced as you man, but I'm trying!
Anyways, Ron, I want your review on this, so watch that this weekend, prolly I'll make my way into your place for the same that time(don't keep hopes up man, I've to join the next sem this Tuesday). Ignore if already watched (without me !).Take care, man!
