Dear Rohit,

                How are you? Hope this letter finds you in the best

of health and happiness. Yesterday it rained after a long time. Everyone was

very happy. I was playing outside with the other boys of the neighbourhood when

it started raining. We love to play in the rain. So we had a lot of fun running

in the rain.

                Then one of the boys suggested that we make paper

boats and put in the small pool made by the rain water, in one corner of the

compound. We put our paper boats and watched them swim in the water. We were

fully drenched by the time we returned to our houses.

                We quickly changed into dry clothes and went and sat

near the windows in our houses. From there we talked with each other. We put

our hands out of the window and let the drops of rain fall on it. We enjoyed

the cool breeze and watched the water gushing on the streets outside.

                How is the weather in your place? Convey my love and

regards to everyone at home.

           Hello and how are you? Hope you are in the best of health and spirits. It has been a while since I have gone to your house or you have to my place. You must be aware that it is the month of July now, and the rainy season has already set in. Since I know how much you adore this drenched season, I decided to write to you about the rain here in Kolkata.

           July came with the onset of the monsoon or the rainy season here. There is a certain soothing beauty in the pitter patter of the slow rain. Rain here in Kolkata not only makes the environment look beautiful, the wet soil smell is never to be missed. There are the bad sides of these rains as well. The bad water logging disables our opportunities to go to places without struggling through water logged roads. There has also been a rise in the cases of people getting electrocuted due to open electric wires in the streets.

           I am really looking forward to meet you soon. Give my respect to uncle and aunty. Please do not forget to send me a reply to this letter.
