As you know the current syllabus has changed and it is totally based on personal response and thinking capacity of childrens.If you read newspaper daily you will come to know abut many things and events taking place in day to day life. It will help you expand your thinking and if you are a school kid then it will help you in your exams for topics like report writing, letter, incident writing,etc. Also your General knowledge will increase amd your vocabulary will improve
