My Dear cousin Vinay,
Received your letter day before yesterday. You have asked me about my first experience in the NCC Camp. There are total 60 cadets in NCC in our school. They all are recruited from class 9th to 12th. I had been to a seven-day camp in the outskirts of my home town. There is a trained NCC teacher in our school, who was with us along with the supporting staff. He has provided us efficient training.
In the NCC Camp, all the cadets had to wake up at 5 AM everyday, then after taking morning tea, we had to go for exercise for one and half hour and then take bath, eat breakfast, participate in some drill related activities. Then after eating lunch at around 1 PM, we had to take rest for two hours. At 3:30 PM, we had to do take up an allocated activity for our school (ranging from pistol shooting to community services - cleaning, bringing water etc) for two hours then had to take rest in the evening and then we had to participate in the cultural program. Then at 8:30 PM, we had to take our dinner and after dinner we had to go to sleep. We were strictly instructed not to go out of our camps in the night.
It was my first experience of an NCC Camp. It was very exciting and fun-filled. By the end of seventh days when we came out of our camp, our instructor teasingly asked if we wanted to stay for seven more days and we said, "Why not" ? That learning gave me the confidence to face any difficulty in life.
Convey my sincere regards to Uncle and Aunt & love to Nidhi. Hope to see you seen.
