Hello Jane
I trust this letter finds you in good health. How is your college life? How are uncle and aunt doing?
At this end I am doing good. Just got back from a holiday in South Africa. I went with a college mate, who happens to be my best friend, too. It was an amazing experience, especially the safari that we went for, at Kruger National Park. Except an incident, which really shook us all.
It was getting dark and our safari jeep was going through an uneven path, among tall grass. The jeep was jolting on the rough path and another visitor who was standing up and taking photographs, suddenly fell off the jeep into a small ravine. Our guide was shocked as he had instructed everyone to sit down. He mentioned that it was an area regularly frequented by a pride of lions! But the brave man quickly got out of the jeep, shining a powerful flashlight and went down the side of the ravine and rescued the visitor. What a close shave, we thought, as we heard the roar of a lion or lioness in the distance!
If you get a chance, you must make the trip and be sure to visit Kruger National Park.
