My dear Dad,

I am studying had for my SSC exam. At the same time, I keep thinking of what I shall do after that. Last night I gave it some serious thought and all of a sudden my mind was full of plans. Since I have some free time I have decided to acquaint you with my thoughts and ideas. Perhaps you will feel that I am counting my chickens before they are hatched, for I have yet to get through the SSC. But I feel confident of coming out with flying colours. I intend to be a Chartered Accountant, and start my own practice.

I know that it is a pretty long course of seven years’ duration after the SSC. But after passing my HSC, I propose to take up a part time job in an auditing firm to gain some experience and meet my expenses.

I am sure you will approve of my plan. However, I hope we talk this matter over in detail when we meet in vacation.

I am well prepared for the coming examination and expect a high percentage of marks.

With love to all,

Your loving son,

XYZ

Dear Daddy,

I hope you are doing good ! Long since I wrote to you. It's been more than 3 years I am away from home for my higher studies.

I have appeared for my SSC examination. The result will be out within a couple of week as expected. I have plans to become an Income Tax inspector after passing my examination. I prefer becoming an Income Tax Inspector since some people say that we may have a chance of getting promoted to IFS cadre in MEA after 10–15 years of service. So, I am a little excited. Tell me about your opinion daddy.

Let's keep it till here today. I will be back to Kolkata in the Puja vacation. Hope to meet you super soon. Take care daddy. I love you.

Yours lovingly,

Rittika
