Dear father,
I hope you are doing well these days. All of us are also well in the house. But I have something more important that this to tell you.
Monsoon is here, and nature is as beautiful as it can be. So, I thought, how about taking a camera to the Amritsar trip? In other words, can you buy me a camera? It can be of any company, of any shape, any size. I don’t care about that. It can be one that the roadside balloon guy sells or one imported from abroad.
You can expect me to bring it back in one piece as much as you can expect me to take some good pictures with it. With the camera I’ll not forget my childhood days, but remember them with zeal.
All this is very well, and I’ve (finally) said what I always wanted to. Take care of your health.

I hope you are well. Has it been too cold in Shimla yet? Mummy and I am expectantly waiting for your arrival home at the end of this month.
I'm preparing for the board exams in right earnest. The preparation so far has been good, by the grace of God.
I wish to request you to buy me a camera, as I no longer like the idea of taking pictures with my smartphone. I'm sure you are aware of the popular makes that are available these days. It could be a Sony, Canon or any of the other Japanese brands. You know how passionate I am about photography. I hope I'm not causing undue financial pressure on you! I spoke to mummy about it, but she has, as usual, said it is a matter between you and me. In case you feel we should defer the matter, I shall be quite willing to go along with your decision.
