Dear Father:
I hope this letter finds you in good fettle. I am writing to you share with you an unpleasant incident that happened with me today. As you already know my December Examinations are going on, I had my English exam today. I attempted the exam exceptionally well. Immediately after the exam, after the invigilator had gone out of the examination room, two of my friends fell to a heated argument on something I don’t know. The argument soon turned to a brawl, and brawl into a scuffling. We the other students tried to stop the fight. While we were doing so, someone pushed me forcefully, and I banged into the window pane. The pane shattered to pieces.
The teachers came into the room and took all of us to the principal’s office. Not only the culprit students were fined, I was also fined rupees 1000 for breaking the pane. I tried to explain my side to the principal, but to no avail. I was very disappointed. I thought I must write to you. Please do talk to the principal about it on the coming Parent-Teacher meeting. The rest is fine. I will be coming over during the Christmas break starting from December 23, 2016 onwards. Give warm regards to mother and grandparents.
Yours affectionately,

ADVERTISEMENTS:
Sir,
Most respectfully I am to say that my English teacher has fined me for not taking the special test. He thinks that I did not take the test intentionally. The fact is that I was suddenly taken ill just a day before.
As my parents were away to a marriage and there was no one in the house to deliver my application, I could not even apply for leave.
I shall feel obliged if you kindly remit the fine of Rs. 50/- imposed on me by the English teacher.

Thanking you.
Your faithfully,
