I learnt about Begum Rokeya today, So I thought Í would share with you.

If you don't know who  Bengali is, she is a feminist thinker, writer, educator and political activist from British India (present day Bangladesh). Born in 9th December 1880

Did you know that she advocated for men and women to be treated equally & she  establishing the first school aimed primarily at Muslim girls.  She is said to have gone from house to house persuading the parents to send their girls to her school in Nisha. And until her death, on her 52nd Birthday in 1932, she ran the school despite facing hostile criticism and social obstacles.

The 9th of December is now celebrated as Rokeya Day in Bangladesh.

I think she is one of the most Inspirational Women of all time.
