Dear friend Ajay
I hope this letter finds you in fine fettle. I am writing
this letter to share with you the surge of pride and patriotism I have been
feeling since the Independence Day Celebrations at school. The entire school
assembled at the ground. The principal hoisted the Tricolor. The national
anthem echoed in the entire campus. After the anthem there was class-wise march
past. Students marched in contingents to the beat of drum while the principal
presided over it. After the march past, one act play highlighting the hanging
of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The
group song ‘Ai Mere Vatan Ke Logo’ filled everyone with pure patriotism. At the
end, the Chairman gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the
sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that we
will serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory
and laurels with our dignified deeds. At the end the students were distributed
sweets. I really had a great time! I have pledged that I will contribute to my
nation in some way by becoming a great scientist. Do write back telling how you
celebrated your Independence Day. Give warmest regards to uncle and aunt.
Yours sincerely,
Neelanjana

Dear Lia,
How are you doing? Hope you and your family are safe and sound during this COVID - 19 pandemic. It had been long we had spoken so I decided to write to you.
Recently we celebrated our 74th Independence Day. This was a great day for India because India gained its freedom on this particular day. So for celebrating this auspicious day we did several things. Let me list them one by one. First, we woke up early morning and went to worship God and thank him for being so grateful and helping our people to gain independence from the British rule. Then we went to the sweets shop and bought some sweets and distributed them among the people for celebrating this happy day. After that, we dressed up in new clothes and stood silent for 5 minutes to understand and respect the freedom fighters who helped us. Later on, we watched the live event that took place in Red Fort through our television. In the evening, we all in our village went to the terrace and hosted Indian flags. Some also decorated their terrace with the theme of independence day. At night, my family and I had a nice dinner. And we slept. I hope you also had an amazing day.
Now, I have to end this letter since it's getting late. I hope this letter reaches you in the best health.
Yours Lovingly,
Luna
