My Dear Roshan,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to tell you that my family and I have safely survived the recent cyclone in our city. As news of Cyclone Fani reached us, schools had already started declaring holidays. I thought it would be a fun vacation.
Unfortunately, Cyclone Fani brought in torrential rain and destroyed property all around us. Streets were flooded, trees fell down and it was very chaotic. Power surges also became a common sight. But thankfully, officials from our local corporation hastened and fixed problems as they appeared. Even then it was hard to keep up with the speed of destruction of Cyclone Fani.
The cyclone has passed now. Restoration and repair works are going on everywhere. Hopefully normalcy will be restored to our everyday lives.
