We experienced a severe cyclone called Ockhi. Hundreds of people lost their lives and several others were missing.
Crores of property including mobile towers, trees, power transmission lines, residential houses etc were destroyed.
Displaced families are being provided shelter at the relief camps.
Government has announced compensation for those who lost property and lives.
I thanked God that my family was safe and appreciated the rescue efforts by disaster management team.
We got basic things like rice, dal, water, blankets, raincoats etc.
Government has provided free food and rations to all of us at time of natural disaster.

Dear Amanda,
I am writing this letter to you in order to inform you about my well being. I just survived one of the most vicious cyclones to have ever been experienced. This cyclone is called the Ochki Cyclone. I found out from other people that this cyclone has been one of the most dangerous of its kind and that too since 2015.
I am extremely grateful to God, who saved me and my entire family from such a natural disaster. The government sent rescue teams who helped in recovering whatever was left in the remains of this cyclone. They have announced that they will be giving basic necessities to the victims and their families.
I didn't loose my family but i lost a dear aunt in this disaster, who lived a few streets away but she was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
My father's shop had faced damages as well and we have decided to help him out once the relief camps release us. Considering we have no food or utilities the government is the only one to help us in this time.
I hope that no one should undergo such a tragedy in their life.
