Dear Vijay,
Sorry for not writing to you so long. Hope all is well with you. Actually I had been to the Chiklaldara Hill Station. We had planned for a three day trip but we fell so much in love with the place that we decided to stay there for a week.
Chikaldara is a beautiful hill station in Maharashtra. It is very scenic with its lush green hills. It is extremely rich in flora and fauna. We chanced to sight many rare species of birds. One night I think I faintly heard the roar of a tiger. You know there are quite a few there. The famous Melghat Tiger Project is just nearby. Chikaldara has a mythological significance also. It is believed that as mentioned in the Mahabharata, Bheema had killed the nasty Keechak and thrown him down the cliffs. It is from there that the place derived its name as Keechakadara which got distorted to Chikaldara.
I was totally mesmerized by the place. I suggest you should visit the place. The Nature-lover that you are I promise you will love it.
