I am extremely happy to learn from your dear father that the Education Ministry of India has awarded you a Scholarship for higher studies at the London School of Commerce. I am proud of your good luck, which you fully deserve. Kindly accept my heartiest congratulations.

I need hardly say that you will make the most of this golden opportunity. I am looking forward for the day when you will come back to India with your Ph. D. Degree. You will then, get a decent job in India. You will then be a big man, but I hope you will still remember small men like me.

Please let me know the date of your arrival, so that I may come to see you at the Railway Station.
