Dear Surya,
I hope my letter finds you in good health. We celebrated Republic Day in our school last Saturday and it was a great success.
Every year Republic day is celebrated at our school on a grand scale. This year too all of our teachers organized a beautiful event. The program started at 9 a.m with the grand march parade performed by our seniors. We had a special guest from the military service who is a retired major now to inaugurate the event.
After that, there was a cultural program consisting of song and dance performances by the students. I participated for the first time in the Republic day event and I recited a patriotic poem by Dr. Prashant Bhatt and the name of the poem is “We are all Indians First”. The whole event ended at 11.30 a.m followed by a little brunch organized for the students.
It was an extremely satisfying experience for all of us. Please share your experience of Republic Day at your school. I will be waiting for your reply.
Yours lovingly,
Manoj

I understand your reasons for being unable to attend reading day celebration celebration. I write to you in order to tell you about the same and how I wished for your presence. They had organised a play followed by a dinner in order to celebrate the school jubilee. I was the narrator of the play. The play was supposed to be an adaptation of one of Shakespeare's works, some tragedy. I know your love for his works. However, I turned the tragedy into a comedy as I forgot certain dialogues of mine. I am sure you would have not spared me for it had you witnessed that but I am sure you would have laughed till you cried. The dinner was delicious. It had your favourite pan-asian cuisine which I ate extra of, on your behalf. I missed your presence and I know you wanted to be a part of the celebrations too. Along with this letter, I also send you some photographs of the celebration.
