Am doing good. Am studying well, and I scored second highest for PA-II.
Today my teacher taught me the story "Kali and the rat snake".
That was a very interesting story. Here is how it goes:
Kali hates school. And he thinks the school hates him because he has no friends. The kids there thought he was strange. He hopes his father is a "normal" bus conductor or postman, not a snake catcher, even though he is one of the most famous of the Irula tribes. He is worried about others laughing at him for eating fried termites. And one day, a big rat snake causes havoc in the classroom. And Kali becomes a hero! A simple and delicate story written by a writer who is deeply involved in environmental issues. Zai Whitaker works closely with Illa, and like Andaman's boy Jarawas, her sympathy is evident in this book. This is also published by Taurica. The watercolour illustrations are atmospheric, detailed and immerse the story in different shades of mood.
