Dear Sushant:
I hope this letter finds you in great health and spirits! Since you expressed your curiosity in your last letter to know about India’s Freedom Struggle and Freedom Fighters, I am going to tell you a few things about Subhash Chander Bose. You must be wondering why only Subhash Ji! Well, January month happens to be the month he was born in. There are many freedom fighters that laid their lives and dedicated themselves to the cause of freedom struggle. In this letter I will tell you only about Subhash Jo’s contribution.
He was a radical leader since the beginning. He never approved Indian National Congress’s soft stand on the freedom struggle against the British. He left Indian National Congress owing to his difference with Mahatma Gandhi.
Hid dynamism can be judged from the fact that with the help of Hitler, he raised INA in Japan to attack the British to free India from their clutches. INA under his leadership, with the support of Japan attacked the British in 1944. However, owing to the size and bigger military prowess of the British, INA was defeated.
This great Indian freedom fighter breathed his last after being seriously injured in an air-plane crash in Taiwan. That’s all from my side. Give regards to uncle and aunt.
