Today, my teacher taught me about Ikat which is a dyeing techniques. This process uses yarns of different colors that are processed into clothes to forms multi-colored clothing. This dyeing method was originate in Indonesia and majorly it is used for women clothing. There are different types of Ikat according to the process of dyeing. Some of the Ikat types are wrap, weft and double Ikat.

I was very grateful that Janaki teacher taught me so much about the textile history.
