Dear Abhay:
I hope this letter finds you enjoying the Diwali festivities. In this letter I am explaining you the significance of Diwali. Well, Diwali is celebrated to commemorate Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon Ravana who had kidnapped Sita, the divine spouse of the Lord.
People welcomed the righteous Lord by illuminating Diyas (indigenous lamps made of earth that are lit using oil and wicks). I would recommend you to read Ramayna or watch any TV serial on Youtube. You will really like it. I have just explained you briefly the significance of the Diwali. The rest is fine. Give parnam to uncle and aunt.
Your loving friend,
Sachin
My dear Friend,
I hope you are fine. I received your letter, and I come to know that you didn't know about the fight between the Ravana and Lord Rama. This letter is for you to know about it, hope this will be useful for you.
Rama fought with the evil-minded Ravana in the Ayodhya. It was a big fight between both. At the end of this serious battle, Lord Rama won the fight and returned back to Ayodhya. People started to light the candles to celebrate the victory and that day special day is celebrated as the Diwali.
I will be waiting for your reply letter. Take care.
Regards,
