Dear Sarika,
I have just received your letter describing your trip to Manali. It was great. I too have to share with you an experience.
Yesterday being a holiday, our Hostel Warden took us on a trip to the mesmerizing Mandya Waterfalls. It is about a two hour drive from our Hostel.
A small bus was hired and we set off early in the morning. We were almost there when we heard a thundering sound. We were a little frightened. The driver informed it was the sound of the waterfall.
When we finally reached the spot we were spell bound. Cascading like an avalanche of foamy water was the mighty waterfall.
The sight was mesmeric. When we went a little closer he sighted multiple rainbow arching on the cataract.
There were so many birds chirping by. I sighted a giant king fisher-halcyon bright. We chose a quiet place and are the packed food we had brought. Our warden told us not to dirty the place so we packed all our waste materials and brought them to the hostel to dispose them.
The trip was simply awesome. I wish you were there. It was a heavenly experience. So much for today.
