I understand that people are too lazy to walk a couple of steps more to cross the street. There are people who do not respect crosswalks and run across the street. Near my brothers' school, I see people do that.

I understand that the speed limit is 25 mph near a school when there are children present. But just because it is 25 mph they shouldn't run across the street. What if a driver does not respect the limit and is going faster? They would cause an accident.

But not only should pedestrians respect the rules of traffic, drivers should, too. When my bus comes to take me to school and it puts up its stop sign, not all drivers stop. They keep going. Sometimes drivers are not even nice enough to stop when people want to cross the street in a crosswalk. They should also respect the speed limit.

I think it is very wrong when pedestrians and drivers do not respect the rules of traffic because they could cause an accident. I think the best solution for this problem is that people should respect the rules of traffic and that police should supervise in the morning and in the afternoon near schools
