Dear Ritu,
You know well that last year many parts of West Bengal were badly hit by a devastating flood which destroyed many human and cattle lives, damaged crops of acres of land, demolished many houses, razed many cottages to the ground. The miseries of flood victims which I saw in my locality beggar description you know, I am fond of social work and I could not sit idle while people were in utter distress. I participated in relief operation. First, I rescued more than hundred victims, logged in water, went door to door for collection of money, garments and other useful materials. I arranged with the boys a gruel kitchen which continued for a fortnight to provide meals to hungry peoples. I found much pleasure in these works and praised by the district authority.
