Dear Kamlesh,
How are you doing these days? I have heard you have joined the army. It is a heartwarming news. So I want to share something good too.
Recently I have volunteered in a rescue operation of poverty stricken children that are being abused by some evil mentally and physically. It was awful to see such little girls wearing inappropriate clothing and excessive amount of cheap makeup standing in a line on the streets. We approached them and wanted to know what their reasons were to do such work that they were doing. Most of them told us that they wanted enough money to feed themselves and their families. It was really sad. So we took those girls and women back to our shelter and gave them food. We gave them money and made them realise that they do not have to suffer like this.
It was my first experience at a rescue operation and it went pretty well. Thank you for reading my letter. I hope you will write to me soon. Take care!
Yours lovingly,
Suraj
Dear Amit,
How are you? Last month I was in Kolhapur at my maternal uncle’s place. As you know the flood situation was worst in Kolhapur at that time. We all were safe in my Uncle’s house but we couldn’t sit quietly at home when other people were suffering. My uncle and his friends, including me, all went to rescue people who were stuck in their houses. We could see water gushing from everywhere into their houses.
Immediately we contacted the rescue team sent by the government and tried to reach the affected people. Rescue team reached with all equipment and rescue boats. We also joined them. First we rescued children and old people, then we helped men and women to find a safe place.
It was the most satisfying experience in my life as I could help people.
Convey my regards to your parents.
Your loving friend,
XYZ.
