Chandigarh: Tribune Model School observed Labour Day with a special assembly organised by the Social Science Department at the school on Friday. The school authorities expressed their gratitude towards the staff with the “Thank You” cards made by students of Classes I to X. The need of selfless service was stressed by students through their songs and poems.
Government Senior Secondary School
Government Senior Secoandary School, Dhanas, Chandigarh, held a special assembly to marked Labour Day under the guidance of Seema Rani, vice-principal of the school. The students were sensitised about the dignity of labour. The students recited poems and delivered speeches about the importance of labour in the life. Ramesh Kumar, lecturer in political science and Ajay, a TGT, spoke on the important of workers in the life. St Mary’s School, Sector 46 B, observed Labour Day with great enthusiasm. The event presented an opportunity to understand the importance of the supporting staff. A special morning assembly was held and a heart-rendering and stimulating speeches were delivered by the students followed by a melodious song presentation by the school choir. The programme culminated with the distribution of gifts by school chairman Rev Fr John K Jacob among the supporting staff as a token of love.Sex education programme
