A letter can be written as follows.

28 December 2018.

Dear Ravi,

How are you? I am fine here in Ooty and have enjoyed my vacation very much. I went to my grandparents house during the vacation. I had a very lovely time over there. I also helped my granny in the garden, gave water to the plants and plucked many types of vegetable and fruits. I also went for fishing with my grandfather and his dog. The boat ride in a lake was amazing. I also loved swimming in the river and walking with my grandparents in the morning. I have even made some friends there. What about you? How did you spend your holiday? Hope uncle and auntie are fine over there.

I hope you will reply to my letter soon.

Take care and all the best. Bye.

Your's, Saurav.

Dear Mohan:

I hope this letter finds you in perfect health and happiness at the beginning of the New Year. First of all, I wish you and your family a great and prosperous New Year ahead. Well, my winter vacation has just commenced. And I am planning to spend it at my uncle’s village in upper Himalayas. During the winter the village is just a white heaven. Everything is covered in snow. Most of the time we have to stay inside as the temperature is many degrees below zero. You must be wondering then why I want to go there. Well, I love it this way. Every moment is extraordinary. From the windows, I get to see vistas of indescribable beauty which we can only find there. The trees are covered with icicles. The streams are frozen. In order to keep the inside of the house warm, fireplace has to be kept lighted all the time. The silence is wonderful. And the food and air are so salubrious. I always look forward to this paradise of beauty. The rest is fine. What are your plans? Give parnam to uncle and aunt.

Yours lovingly,

Ashu
