write a letter to your friend telling him about the achievements of India in Tokyo Olympics 2020

Answer:
The Olympics, the biggest multisport event on earth, is finally on schedule after getting deferred for a year due to the pandemic. This is good news for every sports lover. The better news is India is likely to send its biggest contingent ever to Tokyo with expectations to win medals in double digits for the first time in history. With less than a month to go for quadrennial summer games, the fervour is now palpable.
India made her first appearance in the quadrennial event at the 1900 Paris Olympics when British-Indian athlete Norman Pritchard, who was then holidaying in France, took part and won two silvers. It was only in 1920 that the country first sent a team. Since then, India has never missed the summer games.
India’s best show in Olympics so far was in London 2012 when the heroics of the legendary MC Mary Kom and Sushil Kumar helped the country bag a total of six medals including two silvers. The Tokyo Olympics, which will mark the centenary of team India's participation in the event, is expected to be the best ever for the country in terms of medals.
The world’s leading entertainment and sports data company Gracenote has projected India to return with as many as 17 medals from Tokyo. If that happens, it would be a super-duper achievement for a country that has won a mere 28 medals in total in all these years.

Dear Suraj
Hi Suraj how are you? I think you might be fine. I am also fine here in Mumbai. Have you seen the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
I was thrilled my how well India performed in each event.
Neeraj Chopra was the star of the event as he won gold medal in Javelin throw. Not only winning the medal he made a world record in the history of Olympics. PV Sindhu also played well but could have done better. I felt very proud how Indian players are performing in the international event. Indian hockey team also showed why they are top notch in the world
Did you watched Olympics ? If you watched do tell me your opinion on India's performance in the Event.
Take care.
Your loving friend,
Shyam.
