Dear .........,

Hope you are doing great. I am .......... ......., a maternal cousin of ........ from Canada and have heard a lot about you from him. I am writing to say hello and get some information about Melbourne, where I will visit next month with my wife and daughter.

..... must have informed you that I might write to you and I truly appreciate your time as I know you are terribly busy. However, when I mentioned my trip to ......, he enthusiastically recommended you. You might remember me from the wedding ceremony of .... last year when he introduced you to me.

I am planning to spend some quality time in Melbourne where I solely intend to spend the summer holidays with my family. I have done some online research and learned a few things about Melbourne but this is my first trip to Australia and I thought you would be the best person to recommend me some hotels, tourists spots, child-friendly amusement parks and dining places. I intend to stay for around one month and would like to be on my budget. Are there any tips for daily commuting? What type of dresses should we bring to Melbourne during this time?

I do not know anybody there and your tips would be a great help to me.

No more today. Stay fine and write back to me at your convenience.

Warm wishes,

Devansh

Dear Shivam,

Thank you very much for your letter. This summer was a memorable one. In June, I went to a school camp. It was very interesting. There we were getting ready for the upcoming exams, went to the pool, a library, an exhibition hall, visited the archive, which stores old letters, newspapers, magazines, books on the Great Patriotic War.

July was the most memorable month. I spent it in Vancouve with relatives. The weather was wonderful. All-day long we swam in the river, sunbathed, examined the local attractions, visited the museum, cinema, and a huge gift shop. The sea was so good I did not want to leave it.

August I spent at home. I finally managed to read the book by R.L Stine's "Goosebumps". I also began to learn classic Indian flute. This instrument is very beautiful. In the evening, I was walked with friends, together we are having fun.

Tell us more about your visit to Delhi.  What was the most unforgettable? What did you eat in the local restaurants?

I look forward to your next letter.

Yours affectionately,

Shivu
