Dear Manish,

I hope you are well. We haven't talked for last six months. I recently read the news about the draught that has affected Marathwada region and it reminded me of you. I pray to god for the safety of your family members .

Living in draught prone area is not safe that is why i was worried about you. I also came to know that government is takingt is taking extensive steps to tackle the situation.

Our CM has chaired meeting to review the situation and has also said that he would tour the affected areas. Maharashtra water tribunal has  been ordered to find out the water needed to  overcome water scarcity and the number of dams and water sources available.

The state government has also decided to release water from the upper dams to provide drinking water in the districts of Osmanabad, Beed and Latur. CM has directed district collectors to reduce supply to the industries and sugarcane mills to ensure water supply for drinking purposes in all eight draught affected districts of Marathwada. Railway miniser has also assured to provide trains supplying drinking water to these districts. CM has asssured that he will not let the draught to beocme a money making business.

You should not worry as the situation will soon be under control. We will have a good time when you will come to Mumbai.

Lots of love for Rakesh.

Your best friend

Rahul
