Dear Radha,

All  work and no play makes 'Keshav' a dull boy! Life has come to a standstill here in Durgapur due to the lock down. Having nothing interesting to do I am writing to you this letter.

Ever since the lock down was declared, life has taken the strangest turn. I have always prayed to God for holidays so that I can play to my heart's content, but God has only partially fulfilled my wish! He has closed the school but at the same time stopped the play.

My routine now is to get up late in the morning, study the old books as the new books for the new class  haven't been bought yet, practise Maths under the nose of my dictator of a father, play the violin and sleep.

I have finished all the story books I have, re-read my favourites, completed all unfinished paintings, watched my favourite cartoons.

Oh, how I miss the school days! School I feel was much better, at least I could talk and play with my friends. Mummy cannot serve her best dishes as shops are mostly closed. The menu everyday is a farrago of all things available.

No noodles or soft drinks or chips to relish upon. I wish the lock down would end and free us from being locked up.How about you? What is the scenario at Delhi. Write to me all about your routine. Take care. Stay at home and stay safe.

Your friend

Keshav
