Dear old me,

I'm writing to you 10 years back from your time.

Now, I am a kid. I can play and go to school and watch cartoons and do mischief all day without being too much scolded for it.

But, you have grown old. In the flow of time, a once dashing youngster has become a 22-year old guy!

This is the way of the world. Time is always moving. We can't stop it.

You must be sitting in an office all day, writing things on paper. Ha! Boring! Grown-ups simply sit in their offices and imagine that they are doing a big work. What else do they do?

I do not want to be old. Though, I will become someday. I hate to grow up for a couple of reasons.

Old people often have a habit of delivering sermons and good advice to the young. They act in such a bossy manner as if they are the know-all. I extremely dislike this. Again, when we grow up, we have to take big responsibilities. Really BIG ones!

We have such a beautiful world of ours, full of diversity. Flowers, trees, birds, animals, stars, mountains, glaciers, and all the other beautiful things surround us in the world. In fact, the world itself is the greatest fairy tale and story of adventure that was ever written. It is so fun being part of this wonderful world!

Yet, the grown-ups often forget all about the incredible world they live in and lose themselves either in their hectic schedules, in their arguments, or in their nonsensical quarrels.

I hope you will be more sensible and open your eyes and ears to this beauty. If you don't, I will make sure that you do. After all, I will get to see you years after whenever I stare in a mirror.

Okay, I know that you are probably getting bored reading such an awfully huge letter. I promise it's going to be the last thing I want to say.

Lastly, my message is that instead of getting tangled up in the busyness and hecticity of life, and all the crazy stuff it will bring, please try to enjoy every moment of your life with the child's innocence and freshness of mind and the morality that will distinguish you from a criminal, or any cruel being.

Be of some use to the world. Be the ideal person to enlighten the world! Perform such an act that will make the whole world remember you every birth. Immortalize yourself! Make your nation proud of yourself. You weren't born for simply living. Life has a much greater, valuable meaning - a purpose that every being needs to fulfill.

With this hope, I end my letter. My letter to you --- my future, my 22-year-old self.

Your young 12-year-old self,
11th January, 2017.
