Answer:
Dear Mom,
I am in the fifth form. Our classroom is on the second floor of the school. There are twenty-one desks in the classroom and two pupils sit at each desk. The teacher’s desk is in the front of the pupils’ desks. The blackboard is on the wall to the left of teacher. The chalk and the duster are in a box near the blackboard. There are four very large windows on the side of the room opposite to the door. We open the windows during the break between lessons. There are portraits on the wall over the blackboard. There are pictures and maps hanging on the walls in the classroom. There are lamps hanging above the desks. In winter it gets dark early so we turn on the light. We begin our lessons at 12.05. We have five lessons a day. We have a short 10-minute break between lessons, but we have a long 20-minute break between the second and third lessons. During the long break we go to the dining-room and have lunch. We finish our lessons at ten minutes past five.
Convey my regards to your parents.
Yours sincerely,
Alex

Dear Mummy,
I had been waiting to sit down and write to you, but it has been rushed since I arrived. I am still finding my way around the school and the hostel, and getting to know my classmates and teachers.
This is the first time in my life that I'm away from home with totally new people. I know you said that it takes time to settle in but at the moment, I miss home terribly. I long to come home.
One of the girls in my dormitory, Ashlesha, is very friendly. She has been studying here for the past four years and tells me that I will soon get over this sickness. She has been showing around the school. With her, she makes me feel comfortable. I did not have many classes today as since it's the first day. I've met some of my teachers, and they all see, very knowledgable and approachable. The library is also very good. There are all books of my favourite authors. I'm sure I'm going to spend a lot of time there.
Well, it's time for bed now, and the matron will soon come to switch off the lights. I will post the letter tomorrow. I am looking very much to your visit next month.
Missing all of you!
Yours lovingly,
Mimansha
