Dear Mother,

How are you? Everything is well at my end and hope the same with you. You wanted to know about the way I'm living in the hostel. So in this letter, I'm going to tell you about my daily routine.

Every day I wake up at 6'o clock. After getting fresh I go to have my breakfast to the mess till seven-thirty. After having the breakfast I rush to my classes. I return back to my room till 2'o clock after which I have my lunch. After having lunch I take rest for half an hour and then we three roommates chat and refresh our minds. Then comes the time to concentrate on the studies. Before and after dinner we sit and study quietly. After completing the tasks we go to bed and take a sound sleep. In this way, we give time to everywork of ours.

For now, I’m ending the letter. Will talk about it more in another letter. Take care of yourself. Give love to papa and Ayush.

Your loving son

Dear Mother:

I hope this letter finds you in the best of your health and spirits. I am writing to you to share with you my daily routine. Well, the hostel life is quite different from home life. No doubt it is strict, but it is strict with a purpose. Each and every activity at boarding school is framed keeping in mind the holistic development of children.

We are roused at 5: 00 a.m. sharp. After doing the ablutions and basic cleanliness, we are taken to the ground for rigorous morning workout. We reach back our dormitories at  6: a.m. We are given 30 minutes to get ready for breakfast. At 7:00 a.m. sharp we enter the school mess for breakfast. Then from 7:30 a.m. to 8: 15 a.m. we have our morning prep. We reach the school at 8:30 a.m. There is regular study till 1:30 p.m.

At 1:40 p.m. we are served lunch at the mess. From 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. we are allowed to rest and relax. At 3:30 p.m. we take our tea and at sharp 3:45 p.m. we have our two preps till 5:00 p.m. At 5:15 we have to go to the grounds where we play our favorite games. We play until 6:30 p.m.

We are served dinner at 7:15 p.m. From 7:45 to 9:00 p.m. we are allowed to watch TV. At 9:10 we have our reading prep in which we read classic books. These days I am reading Harry Potter series. I am enjoying my hostel life; but I miss you all. That’s all from my side. I am excited to see you next week. Lots of love to Papa, Granny, Grandpa, and Teena.

Yours lovingly,

S.P.Sharvesh

My dear mother,

Sadar Namaskar,

I have just received your letter. I am fit and fine here. You have asked me about the daily routine that I follow in the hostel. I am writing about it in brief. I get up at 5.30 a.m. I get ready with in half an hour for yoga and other exercises. I return to my room by 6.30 a.m. I take my breakfast at 7 a.m. in the dining room. Our classes start at 8.00 a.m. There is a break for milk at 10 o'clock. Our classes end at 1.30 p.m. I come to my room and change my clothes. We get our lunch at 2.00 p.m. After that we take a rest for half an hour. Then I study for some time. We play outdoor games in the evening. At 6.30 p.m. we get tea and snacks. Then we return to our rooms to complete our homework. At 8.30 p.m. we take our dinner. All of us watch television for an hour in the entertainment room. At 10.30 we return to our room. We wish each other Good Night and go to bed. Sundays are our holidays. We wash our clothes and arrange our rooms in the morning. In the afternoon we generally go out for a picnic or the nearby cinema hall with our teachers and Hostel- warden.

l enjoy the hostel life but remember you very much. Convey my regards to father.

With love.

Your affectionate son / daughter
