Dear Mother:

I hope you in in your usual great health and spirits. You will be glad to know that I am going to join an N.S.S camp being organized by our school in a neighboring village. Our class teacher had asked for volunteers and I was quite excited about it. So, I gave my name to him.  

Many other students from my class have also volunteered. We will be doing some social work such as teaching the illiterates, making the villagers aware about general cleanliness. The volunteers will be given a certificate signed by the Prime Minister.

My studies are going on pretty well. Do come to meet me next month. I miss you all very much. Give parnam to dear dad and grandparents.
