Answer:

I have been locked down in my apartment since Wednesday, March 11. I live alone, with my laptop, a few cactuses and a stuffed cat. I am on the fourth floor of a used-to-be-lively neighbourhood in Turin, Northern Italy.

On the first Sunday, I woke up at sunrise and sneaked out for a quick run. I hate running. But the urge of moving and watching the city still half asleep was so big I didn’t really think about it. I guess I just wanted to fool myself into believing everything was normal. Well, it isn’t. But going out is not the answer. It is crystal clear now that we have to stay at home. It doesn’t matter if I am healthy and young: I have to do my part and not put others at risk, not compromise the weakened healthcare system

Dear mom,

Thank you for your loving letter received today in the morning . I am well and my studies are going on in a full swing.

Mom, there is no need to give your mind a big handful of tension cause I am facing no problem in this lockdown situation. My neighbors in this apartment is very helpful. They are helping me in each an every way possible. I am being treated no less than their own daughter. They take  care of me, whenever felt board, is accompanied by the kind ladies. My everyday has become quite pleasant, studying, and talkful evening with the sweet elderly grandmother and fathers. Of course maintaing distance that is by sitting in front, or pocking out our faces through the windows  . But, now my online classes have started that's why time spending with them has reduced but still whenever I get time my first option is to meet them.

Hope you all of you are healthy and well enough. Is dad taking his medicines in time? Mom, don't  forget to sanitize every repeatedly touched things in the house. Don't allow Tommy to go outside. Also take care of yourself. Be well.

Yours beloved daughter,

Sonia
