Dear Dad and Mom,

   Hope that both of you are doing fine. I am happy here in the hostel. The food that I get here is also good. During the Diwali holidays, I would like to come home for 10 days.  

I wanted to inform you about my results of my last examination. I know that you have got those via mail. I am sure that I got good scores. But I guess if I had worked a bit harder, I would have got better marks. I assure you that I will work harder the next time and promise you to be the best student the next semester.
