Dear Mum and Dad

How are both of you doing? Hope grandma and brother are doing well too. I am doing good too. You will be happy to know that I am no longer homesick. I have begun to enjoy y hostel life.

This year, I have a new roommate in the hostel. The best part is that he is my best friend in class as well. Rakesh is good in chess and badminton but finds Mathematics difficult. So, I help him with that subject while he helps me learn more about my favorite game chess.

We have one hour of study time in the morning and three hours in the evening. There is also one hour of play time in the evening. So, we do not get bored. On Saturday and Sunday, we also have one hour for reading. Another good news is that the hostel canteen cook has changed. We now have an elderly lady who looks after us like a grandmother. The food that she cooks is so homely that I have begun to enjoy it.
