Dear Mom and Dad,

First of all, I wish you both, grandmother and our little Minu on the occasion of Durga Puja. I wanted to join you all but as exams are getting closer I have to study rigorously. If I come there, too much time will be wasted in travelling. Moreover exertion due to travelling will exhaust me. I won’t be able to concentrate on my studies.  

So, this time I request you to excuse me for not attending Puja at home. I promise next year I will be there with you all before one week of Puja.

Convey my regards to grandmother and Minu.
