Dear Sir / Madam,
I Dev Kumar of class 9th of your school is writing this letter to inform you about the reason of my bad performance in half yearly examinations. I'm very sorry for my bad performance, but really it was not my fault, I had prepared with a lot of hard work.
I got to know that I'm suffering from malaria and I had to be there in the hospital for almost 4 days. This was the main reason for my bad performance. But I assure you that from now onwards I'll work more harder and ace the final examinations.
