Respected Arya madam ,

I am Anu Singh , student of your class . I want to tell you that how I celebrated Mahadashmi.

On this day goddess Durga defeated the demon king mahishasur and another belief is that it is on this day that Lord Rama defeated Ravana , both Victories of good over evil .

I put tikka on forehead and we did the ritual of burning an effigy of Ravana .
