Explanation:

I'm writing to inform you that I will be home for the Christmas holidays during my school break. I regret not being at home this past school year to help you with your studies. You will be starting college soon and there are a few things I`d like to share with you to better prepare for the future. Having decided on going after a literature degree, it`s now of utmost urgency that you catch up on your readings, especially the classics. Reading in itself is essential, as it fosters a growth of your imagination. It also provides you with a glimpse into the minds, the way of thinking and way of life during the period the book was written. That is valuable information to have and not likely to be attained anywhere else. You'll need to read and be able to discuss the books in your classes. The importance of reading will be tested as you attempt to grasp the points being made and be able to understand them. This ability will help in your daily and future life as well. I will discuss this with you further when I get home in a few weeks.

Your Loving,

Ananya.

Dear Preet,

I hope you are at the pink of your health. Thanks for your last letter. I am writing this letter to tell you about the importance of books.

You always keep playing around, watching television and what not to entertain yourself. Think when the television or the phones were not invented the people used to read books and go out and plays games physically. Books give us the knowledge of about everything in this universe that is predicted or discovered or invented.

I hope you understand that book reading is very important. I'm running out of to so I'm keeping my pen down. I will wait for your letter. Take care.

Yours lovingly,

Xyz
