I hope this letter finds you in great health and spirits. I am writing to you to advise you an important issue. In her last letter, the mother confided to me you have been skipping your breakfast regularly. Well, dear brother you don’t know how important breakfast is for health. In fact, it is the most essential meal of the day. After long hours of sleep, the blood glucose is quite low which leads to low levels of energy. Skipping breakfast is akin to trying to run a car without petrol in its fuel tank. This adversely affects our mental and physical health. I want you to take your breakfast regularly. We want you to stay healthy and energetic; only then you can do well in your studies. I hope you will pay heed to my advice. The rest is fine. Give warm regards to mother, father, and grandparents.

Trust this letter finds you keeping well. All of us are fine here. However, I miss you most of the time. But, I am glad you are not homesick and have good friends in the hostel. In your last letter, you had told me that you do not like the breakfast served. You had also mentioned that because of this you skip breakfast most of the time. I thought it is essential for me to tell you that you should not do this.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Even if you do not like it, have at least half of the normal quantity. Skipping breakfast can cause problems like feeling tired or fatigue. This can keep you lethargic and stop you from focusing on your school activities. Having a good breakfast can keep you attentive and active throughout the day. It helps your brain to work with maximum efficiency after a night’s sleep. A breakfast can also ensure that your body metabolism is on track. Moreover, when you avoid breakfast, you will tend to feel hungry by lunch time. As a result, you are likely to overeat. This can result in other health related issues like obesity. These are just a few reasons why you must give importance to breakfast.
