Write a linear equation in two variables to represent the the statement "Four times the cost of a table is equal to seven times the cost of a chair''.From the graph of a above linear equation,find the cost of one chair if the cost of one table is Rs.1050.

Let the cost of a table be x and that of chair be y. Then the required equation will be 4x=7y. Now it is provided that x=1050. Therefore 4(1050) = 7y
4200/7 =y
y=600
that is
The cost of one chair is 600 rupees
