Let cost of chair= x And price of table = y Then 7x=4y >7x-4y+0=0 > cost of table = 1050 So cost of chair 7x -4 × 1050= 7x= 4200 x=600

4x = 7y is the linear equation in two variables and the cost of one chair is Rs. 600.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of table be x and the cost chair be y

As per the question,

4x = 7y

Given that,

Cost of one table = Rs. 1050

Putting the value of x in the above equation,

4 * 1050 = 7y

y = (4 * 1050)/7

y = Rs. 600
